The National Assembly a new card in 13 regions

The National Assembly approved on Friday morning, after a night of discussion, the new card in 13 proposed by the Socialists regions, including the merger of the regions of Poitou-Charentes, Limousin and Aquitaine Nord and Pas-de-Calais and Picardy.

This card from the same changes output (PS) and Carlos Da Silva, the Socialist Group of the land reform law is derived, also provides for the Champagne-Ardenne joins the Alsace and Lorraine.

More mergers are planned Auvergne and Rhône-Alpes, Bourgogne and Franche-Comte, Languedoc-Roussillon and Midi-Pyrénées, Haute-Normandie and Basse-Normandie. Six regions remains the same: Brittany, Corsica, Ile-de-France, Centre, Pays de la Loire, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.

The Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve, "there is no ideal map", but "we had the audacity (Map) about what changes can be made open."

According to Da Silva, Prime Minister Manuel Valls: "This card is a point of balance" and "must be replaced", mainly because it is an option that is open between departments to the region should change in 2016.
